What is MindNode Next?

MindNode Next is our new Vision Pro app. It is a brand-new version of MindNode built for the new age of spatial computing and collaboration. MindNode Next is built on a new foundation that allows for conflict-free syncing of documents. Now, with MindNode Next, documents are managed directly in MindNode itself using iCloud and are no longer stored in files on disk or third-party storage locations.

What kind of MindNode Plus plans are available for MindNode Next?

We offer both a monthly ($2.99) and yearly ($24.99) subscription for MindNode Next. They each come with a free 30-day trial and currently only unlock MindNode Next on your Vision Pro. However, we’re working on a solution to also unlock MindNode Classic for you on your Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch.

What features are available in the free version and paid version?

In the free version, you can explore the all-new immersive brainstorming feature (that allows you to position your ideas freely in the room), view documents, and join shared documents as a viewer.

Using the subscription, you can unlock additional features, including creating and editing documents, exporting from immersive brainstorming mode, and adding stickers, tasks, and images in mind mapping.

When it comes to classical MindNode features, we stripped it down a bit to give more focus to brainstorming and mind maps again.

Why is MindNode Next only available on visionOS?

The initial work on MindNode Next started several years ago, intending to add collaboration features to MindNode. Our main focus was always on the shipping version of MindNode, so progress was slow like redirecting or building a big ship mid-tour.

With the introduction of Apple Vision Pro, we saw the opportunity to fully focus on bringing our vision for MindNode Next forward. So we focused on completing MindNode Next for Apple Vision Pro and will now concentrate on bringing it to Mac, iPhone, and iPad.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. MindNode Plus for MindNode Next comes with a free 30-day trial. You can cancel MindNode Plus at any time during the trial. You will only be charged once the trial ends if you have not canceled.

What happens to my data when I cancel MindNode Plus?

Nothing. Your data will remain safely stored on your device or iCloud. When your MindNode Plus subscription ends, you can still view your documents in MindNode Next.

Do I need MindNode Plus to sync my documents between platforms?

No. Syncing is done using iCloud and is independent of your subscription status. You only need an active iCloud account.

Does MindNode Next also enable collaboration?

Yes. Using MindNode Next, you can collaborate with others on your MindNode Next documents, or you can share your documents for others to join as viewers.

Can I sync documents between MindNode Classic and MindNode Next?

No. Since MindNode Classic and MindNode Next are built on a very different core foundation, syncing documents between those versions is not possible.

You can, however, import MindNode Classic documents into MindNode Next (with not all features being supported). 

Soon, we will also add the ability to export MindNode Classic documents from MindNode Next.

Existing MindNode Plus customers

How can I use my existing MindNode Plus subscription?

MindNode Next and MindNode Classic are currently two different MindNode Plus subscriptions. We plan to bring both subscriptions together shortly. So soon, you will be able to use your MindNode Classic Subscription to unlock MindNode Next on visionOS and vice versa. If you are already a MindNode Plus subscriber and want to try out MindNode on Apple Vision Pro, we recommend you start a free 1-month trial and cancel the subscription right away.
