What is MindNode Classic?

MindNode Classic is the "classic" version of MindNode that has supported countless users in brainstorming, project planning, and task management in the past. Its documents are based on files in iCloud Drive.

Due to a request by Apple, we had to hide MindNode Classic on the App Store. You will no longer see it when you search for it, however, you can re-download it any time from your list of purchased items or by using the direct link (iOS and macOS).

If you want to enjoy seamless syncing of documents and collaboration with peers, download MindNode Next from the App Store. MindNode Next is built on a new technical foundation where documents are stored in iCloud directly. (Note: MindNode Next and MindNode Classic do not yet have feature parity. Find our roadmap for MindNode Next here.)

Our MindNode Plus subscription unlocks both apps, so you can enjoy them and pick the one best suited to your needs.

Does MindNode Classic enable collaboration?

No. Using MindNode Next, you can collaborate with others on your MindNode Next documents or share your documents for others to join as viewers.

What devices can I use MindNode Classic on?

MindNode Classic is available on Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch.

What kind of MindNode Plus plans are available for MindNode Classic?

We offer both a monthly ($2.99) and yearly ($24.99) MindNode Plus subscription. They each come with a free trial and unlock MindNode Classic as well as MindNode Next on all supported devices.

What features are available in the free version?

Using the free version, you can create and edit MindNode Classic documents. We support basic editing features like creating new nodes, adding titles, reordering nodes, and folding child nodes. The Free Editor also allows the import and export of all supported file formats.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. MindNode Plus comes with a free trial. You can cancel MindNode Plus at any time during the trial. You will only be charged once the trial ends if you have not canceled.

What happens to my data when I cancel MindNode Plus?

Nothing. Your data will remain safely stored on your device, iCloud Drive, or the storage location you choose.

Do I need MindNode Plus to sync my documents between platforms?

No. Syncing can be done using iCloud Drive or a third-party storage provider of your choice. It is independent of your subscription status.

Existing MindNode customers

How can I use my existing MindNode Plus subscription?

If you have iCloud enabled (using the same iCloud Account) for MindNode Classic and MindNode Next your MindNode Plus subscription status should sync automatically.

Can I sync documents between MindNode Classic and MindNode Next?

No. Since MindNode Classic and MindNode Next are built on a very different core foundation, syncing documents between those versions is not possible.

You can, however, import MindNode Classic documents into MindNode Next and vice-versa (with not all features being supported).
