More than seven years after the initial MindNode 1.0 release, we are finally shipping the brand new MindNode 2.0 for Mac today. MindNode for Mac is a completely new version of MindNode that was rewritten from scratch and that adds many new exciting features.
Features
Notes
One of the biggest new additions to MindNode is the new notes feature. You can now add text to any node without cluttering the canvas with too much text. Notes are a good way to collect additional information and links. You can view them directly in the sidebar or by using the new popover.
Stickers
MindNode has had support for images for some time now, but until now we never shipped a library of built-in clip arts with the app. For this release we created our own set of clip arts that were hand crafted by our designer. We also added tinted stickers which will automatically adapt to the color of the node. A great way to enhance the look of your documents.
Connection Labels
Enhance your cross connections with context by adding a label to them.
MyMindNode
MyMindNode allows you to view your documents directly on the web. It supports folding and unfolding of nodes and displaying attached notes. You can even embed documents directly into other websites.
Outline
We had support for an outline for some time now in MindNode for iOS and with todays update this feature is now also available on the Mac. You can search and fold nodes directly in the outline and as you make changes to your document, the outline will automatically update.

MindNode 4.0 for iOS
Our original plan was to also release MindNode 4.0 for iOS – including MindNode 1.0 for Apple Watch – today. We submitted the update 12 days ago and unfortunately it is still waiting for review. MindNode 3.6 supports most features of the new MindNode file format - including notes and labels. Those features won’t be displayed in the app but will be saved back to the file. We will release 4.0 as soon as it passes review.
